Every day, In every moment, our bodies are telling us what they need to stay in balance, but most of the time we overlook or ignore this subtle flow of information. Eventually, the subtle messages become louder, bringing with them symptoms and illness in order to get our attention.
When we get signals that our bodies are fatigued, tense, in pain, or lethargic, it’s important to listen and act to bring ourselves back into balance and support healing. If we can learn to speak our bodies subtle language before it gets to loud, we can ensure that we we give it the best chance of remaining positive, content and relaxed. Having this inner-awareness helps us to recognise this state of balance, and reinforces it as our natural state of being. How we respond to the body’s signals is the essence of self-care.
